![]() Tuesday, December 07, 2004Thanks, neighbor!
I pulled into my parking space yesterday after doing some errands. As I often do when returning home from doing errands, as I was getting out of my car, I pulled the floor-mounted lever to open the trunk.
During the three seconds it took me to walk to the back of my car, a passerby helpfully informed me, "Your trunk's open." "I know," I said, although I now wish I'd have better been able to convey a tone of "have you not ever seen, or even heard of, the 'remote trunk release' option that is fairly common on automobiles?", or at least have been more specific and said, "I know. I just opened it." It's not as if I was walking away from my car at any point. ![]() |
