![]() Saturday, May 27, 2006Here we go again
Hey, General Mills is doing an iTunes promotion, which I didn't discover until I was in the supermarket today with a coupon for Reeses Puffs. Unlike the Pepsi promotions of 2004 and 2005, in this one, every box has a code for a free song.
I bought two boxes of Reeses Puffs, but didn't get a 5-song bonus (as it says on the box, "many will enter, few will win"). The songs I downloaded: the single edit version of Jefferson Starship's "Miracles" -- half the length of the album version, which I already had -- and a cover version of Lou Reed's "Satellite of Love," performed by an artist named Mike Chappelear, which I heard on the "Coverville" podcast some months ago. And now to have some cereal for dinner. (Actually, the code is printed on the inside of the box, so it doesn't require opening the inner bag of cereal to get it.) ![]() |
