Dear Jim Knows,

I love the TV ad for the iPhone! They make phones look so cool and glamorous -- especially the cords! My question: why doesn't the iPhone come with a cord included?

You'll be happy to know that it does come with a cord, so that you may connect it to a wall outlet or a computer and recharge its battery. In fact, that cord could probably be made coily by twisting it.

I think the only thing you have to watch out for is some future inventor successfully deploying Nikolai Tesla-style broadcast power, which would continually charge the iPhone and cook your brain at the same time.
